"U.S. intervention in the Third World after WWII caused contempt and bitterness among Third World citizens."
This is completely true throughout Cuba. The U.S. stuck their nose in the Cuban's business which caused the Cubans to revolt against the U.S. in order to gain back their rights and have the embargo be lifted off of them. Also, the fact that the U.S. is refusing to trade with the Cubans for something that happened years ago and cause shortages of food and other resources to the modern day people of Cuba. Cubans believe they are being slighted due to the U.S. coming in with their problems and trying to take over Cuba when Cuba was minding there own business. The hatred from past Cubans has been carried through their family to this day, so it would only make sense that the Cubans of today would be angry and spiteful towards the U.S. of today.

This primary source is the Platt Amendment where the U.S. signed a document with Cuba so the U.S. could try and help Cuba keep their independence from other imperialists.
This secondary source of literature shows how the Americans keep intervening into Cuba's country and personal business.
