Claim 3: "Global politics, economics, society and cultures are interrelated."
In Cuba, the main ideology that interrelates all aspects of the country is communism. Communism is a type of economy. When a country decides to become communist, the leader starts to become totalitarian. For example, in Cuba Fidel Castro took a complete leadership role once he made changes towards a left wing government. In regards to the aspects of society and culture, communism is based off the ideas that all citizens should be equal and there should only be one class, the working class. In Cuba this created a large gap between the rich and poor. The poor were expected to work hard for their money, while the government owned businesses took all the profits. Cuba became a nation of poverty created by a massive working class and small upper class led by a single communist leader, Fidel Castro.
